Canberra, Australie

Canberra n'a pas de gratte-ciel, pas de logements surpeuplés. Il n'y a pas de rues de grande densité ni d'embouteillages. Pas de Shopping Mall ouvrant 24/24, pas de monument historique ni de ruines à visiter. Mais, c'est la capitale de l'Australie, elle ressemble plutôt à un village moderne, une ville rurale, un grand jardin. Une ville où les humains, les animaux et la nature vivent harmonieusement.

Ici, on est loin du standard de la ville capitale. Canberra n'est pas une métropole comme Paris ou New York, ni magnifique ni puissante. De fait, la majorité du personnel politique en Australie habite à Sydney, et ne vient à Canberra que pour l'ouverture des sessions du Parlement. Canberra fut choisie comme capitale, mais c'est d'abord une ville douce et agréable à vivre.
